I came across this post on the BBC website and wanted to share it with you. Mainly because a lot of the questions I get asked as a friend, Dr and educator come from stories read in the paper, tabloids and magazines.
Someone at the beeb put together a list of 100 interesting and unexpected facts we didn’t know about last year that featured in our daily news reads. Some will make you laugh out loud, others will make you go aaaaaahhh and some are just ridiculous.
Here are my personal top 5:
1- Women’s tears reduce sexual desire in men.

1. Heart disease is less common among religious people (Amen to that!!!)
2. Women don’t see Porsche drivers as marriage material (Never met one who wasnt a ‘b’anker)
3. Uganda’s national anthem is the world’s shortest ( Being part Ugandan, I know my people are far toooo laid back to write a full anthem when 7 sentences can do the trick!)
4.Singing sparrows are actually trading insults. (lol, charming! and we thought it was sweet music)

lol thank you Mercedes, I am yet to test out the Porsche theory, bankers you say hmmmm, now how do I get to the City? 🙂 and yes I will never look at a sparrow in the same way again, I wonder if they will sing harder if you insult them? ha ha haaa just visualised how how that would look!
